Office Supplies and RED! Winner

Thank you so much to everyone who played along with my first challenge - Office Supplies. I just LOVED each and every entry with such amazing creativity and lots of great ideas for cardmaking using common office supplies. So after checking, then checking again, eventually narrowing down my list, then doing a final check, I chose my pick of the week.

Birgit Johansson from Sweden!

I just loved everything about this card and her use of office supples with the colour red is divine. I LOVE that chunky knot made from twine! Birgit, please collect your badge so you can display it proudly on your blog!

And don't forget we have our new challenge happening right now! This week we are recycling and using the colour green. Please join us for some more crafty fun! Can't wait to see what you come up with :)

Recycle It With A POP Of Green!

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us this past week for the Office Supplies and RED challenge. The entries really did take my breath away - they are all simply gorgeous and we will be having a tough time choosing only one as a winner. Be sure and check back on Wednesday to find out who it is!

This week we have a similar style of challenge but a very different theme. I'm feeling like a bit of a "GREENie" these days so I wanted to host a challenge in support of my inner hippie. I think we are all a little more aware of our environment and the impact we have, so with this in mind I would challenge you all to create a project using something you have recycled. And use the colour GREEN!  I often use packaging in my creations so this was one of the first things which came to my mind, but use your imaginations and give something otherwise headed for the garbage a new lease on life.

Here is the inspiration badge for this week as created by Anne Marie. Thank you so much Anne Marie - your talent is amazing!

Let's kick off our talent parade with a double delight from our guest designer this week, Lynn Put! I just love the card and the gorgeous matching gift tag. These colours are wonderfully warm and rich and remind me of all those beautiful autumn tones for this time of year. Lynn I love what you have done here with the challenge - absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us.

Our Guest Designer:

Meihsia Liu - Simply Paper Crafts

Lisa Minckler - You Made Me Ink!
(recycled flatbread packaging and 2011 calendar)

Kim Price - Inkognito
(recycled cardboard box, vintage buttons, vintage doily, Prima packaging, Melissa Francis packaging)

(Page from a Gardening book!)

Paula McClane - ScrapAddict's Attic
(plastic packaging is the top layer of the dragonfly wings)

Christina Barnes - Dot Dot Stamping Designs
(Recycled Tea Leaf Tin, and jeans)

Linda Coughlin - The Funkie Junkie
(upcycled chipboard packaging for the spooky tree and window frame
and acrylic packaging for the window)

Liliana Inguanti - Stampin' From Home
(acrylic packaging for the flower, page taken from an old book, a flap from a soap box, and schoolpaper for the tag)

Sharon Wheet - Designs by Sharon
(re-purposed coffee filters for the blossom
and cardboard box piece for the butterfly)

Aren't they all breathtaking? I can't quite believe they are created using some of those things destined to be thrown away. Bravo ladies.

Office Supplies With A Twist!

Firstly, welcome to our new challenge for the coming week! I hope you enjoy creating a project for this week as much as our Design Team has. And we would like to thank everyone for their fabulous entries for last week's challenge. It was such a great challenge and it certainly got us creating outside of our usual comfort zones. As usual we will be announcing our winner on Wednesday, so be sure and check back then to see who it is! And now onto this coming week's challenge....

We all have bits and pieces floating around that belong in the office, yes? - Staples, Post-it Notes, String, Sticky Tape - the list goes on! This week we would like you to use your imagination and come up with a fabulous creation using these common items. BUT! And here's the twist, I want to see the color RED. Lots and lots of RED! Go bold and wow me with your fabulous designs!

NB. Neutral colors are allowed ie. black, white, cream, kraft, grey and browns - but your card must feature the color RED.

I have taken an inspiration photo to get us all in the mood! And check out these FABULOUS creations our special guest and in house design team have come up with! These are sure to inspire you to create something fabulous of your own!

Everyone is welcome to play along at any time. If you upload your card/project to SCS, please use the keyword OCCC. Our only requirement is that your project be a new project and not back-linked to a project made before this challenge started.
